How does it work?
Basically a length of vibration sensitive sensor cable or seismic geophone string is fastened to each zone of a perimeter fence, wall, or open ground etc. These zones can be from 10m – 1000m long (depending on the system) each with a maximum of 8 zones per system (multiple systems can be used for larger facilities). Each sensor is fed back to our base station processor via a low cost feeder cable, these feeder cables are not sensitive to vibration and purely bring the signals back to base (Max. length 1 km each).
Our central processor units (CPUs) continuously monitor the signals from the field and use Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to analyze and detect certain alarm conditions e.g. fence cutting, ,climbing, intruders walking, tampering etc. Using these intelligent algorithms the system is able to separate most false alarm conditions such as wind, rain, animals foraging etc. This is done using our Virtual Guard technology, that automatically verifies any alarm to eliminate false alarms.
Once an alarm is detected you can choose from several possibilities what to do with it, i.e. play an audio warning like a siren, switch on a flood light, sound an alarm, or send an e-mail or SMS to your phone or a monitoring company, or automatically select a CCTV camera.
We output two main conditions pre alarm, i.e. a single attack has been detected, and main alarm multiple attacks have been detected. You can choose to use the pre alarm as a main alarm signal if required but in most cases this is used to draw your attention to the zone in question and ward off intruders with our unique random dog barking audio out and light/CCTV switching facility. The main alarm can be connected into your existing alarm panel or used as a stand alone system triggering an external siren etc.
